Let’s face it. There comes a time when you have to be away for a while and leave your pets behind. Maybe it’s for work, or perhaps for play– a well-earned vacation. You will rest easier and be guilt-free if you can offer your pet a little holiday of its own. That’s what HousePETality is about. It’s a vacation in the country for your dog(s). A stay at a dog-centered “Bed & Breakfast” –in a private home–dedicated to keeping your dog happy, safe, well-fed, exercised and loved.

HousePETality Dog Boarding & Pet Sitting is a small-scale, loving, cage-free home away from home for your best furry canine friends. We think of it as bringing guest dogs into our small pack in our private home so so we can look after them while you’re away.

We also take care of small mammals (like pet rats) and birds and friendly reptiles (your home or ours). Sorry cats. We’re allergic, so your cats can’t move in here. But we don’t think cats should have to be home alone either, and we’d be happy to come to your house to look in on them in your absence. We’ll also visit your dog at your house if you’d prefer, for feeding and walks. Certain geographical restrictions apply for home visits. (See map)

Kennels are noisy stressful places. Full of anxious dogs in cages wondering why they’ve been abandoned. Lots of barking, clanging and frantic pacing. A commercial kennel is a last resort for boarding any dog. And shouldn’t even be considered if your dog is a rescue with memories of the bad old days in the shelter.

HousePETality is a personalized service focused on quality care for your animals rather than high volume care, i.e. we only take one guest dog at a time or two dogs from a multiple-dog household. Occasionally, at peak travel times, we might take in two known (by us) and unrelated dogs-- with the knowledge and express permission of their owners to do so.
